The merger of CorrOcean and Roxar

In July 2007, Roxar merged with CorrOcean ASA, and the new entity has continued under the name Roxar ASA. The new company employs over 800 staff at 28 offices in 19 countries.

The main rationale is to strengthen Roxar’s product portfolio, enabling us to offer a complete product line of meters and sensors for Production Optimization and Flow Assurance. The Roxar acoustic sand monitor and the Corrosion erosion probe are an example of this. If combined, they will offer unique capabilities - a fast acting sand alarm and an accurate long term prediction of maximum allowable sand rates.

Customers will also benefit from working with a larger and more versatile technology and service partner. With expanded global coverage and a larger serviceand distribution network, customers can expect our tradition of world-class after-sales service and support to continue as the company grows.

Finally, Innovation has always been part of our business. Our combined resources will give us the capabilities for long term and innovative technology development to meet the industry’s current and future challenges. Today, almost 15% of our revenue is spent on R&D.
